Bowling Team Turkeys Regionals
The Sequoit girls advance to IHSA Sectionals with bronze, silver and gold in their hands.
Girls bowling struck gold on Saturday, February 3, when they competed in the IHSA Regional and performed extremely well.
“I was very nervous,” sophomore Alyssa Olson said. “I sooner got over all that fear and just hitting all my marks was great.”
Olson led the team with 1190 pins in six games, giving her the first place medal. She had a great meet, along with a PR during her 280 game.
“I am very confident in my team,” Olson said.
The girls all had an amazing regional, finishing off with scores near one another. Some notable scores were from all three of the top places: freshman Allyssa Tanner with 1190, junior Allison Kane’s 1188 and Olson’s 1182. The girls are hopeful for the near future and are glad to have the opportunity to advance to IHSA Sectionals this upcoming weekend.
