Get to Know Five-Star Students
Not many people at Antioch Community High School know about the newest school spirit app.
Five-Star Students is a program that allows students at Antioch to earn points for doing things such as following spirit days, attending math team meets, going to sports activities and much more. When attending one of these events, such as a football game, there is a code given to students that can be typed into the app to receive points. When it comes to participating in a school spirit day, a teacher will scan student IDs and points will be automatically added to the app. When students get to a certain amount of points, they have the ability to redeem them for different prizes.
“You can earn points [by] wearing themes and get rewards based on your points,” junior Adam Lynn said.
Only a very small amount of students know about this program and without students having much knowledge about Five-Star Students, it will be hard for them to interact with the program and use it in the future.
“[All I know is] that students can receive points and can redeem them for prizes and stuff,” sophomore Aidan Trusky said.
Five Star Students is an amazing program for schools because it keeps students engaged in school activities and school spirit days by motivating them with prizes that anyone would enjoy.
