Football on a Roll
The sequoits pull away with another great win against Moline.
The boys brought home another victory by defeating Moline 49-28. The Sequoits are starting off the year strong by going 2-0. Both teams fought hard, but our Sequoits came out on top.
“We expected a tough game. They were a 7A playoff team last year and it was a long trip to get here,” Coach Jordan Eder said.
The Sequoits played their hearts out, but one kid stood out; Hunter Price. Price ran the ball for a total of 254 yards on 13 carries and scored two touchdowns. The team is playing well on both sides of the ball, but he feels like they can play even better.
“I was really impressed with how our team worked together; when the offense had trouble putting together plays our defense really stepped up, and vise versa. It was a really good game all around,” Price said. “Our team played well, but we still haven’t reached our top potential.”
It looks like the Antioch Sequoits are heading down the right path. They play the Wauconda bulldogs, Friday, September 9 for senior night.
