Football Brings Home the Win
Football dominates Grayslake Central from the beginning, winning 49-14.
Friday, September 23 Sequoit football went head to head against Grayslake Central and brought home their fifth consecutive win of the season, 49-14.
“Grayslake Central was not our most challenging opponent, but we still prepared hard and executed our game plan well. I doesn’t matter who we are against, when everybody does their job correctly the outcome will be the same,” junior Andrew Hare said.
The boys continued fighting no matter how much they were leading by and didn’t let the lead get to their head. It was first quarter, they had 2:47 left in the first quarter and had a lead of 21-0. Later on Sequoits were up 35-0 at half. Grayslake didn’t stop fighting and came up with 14 points with four minutes left on the clock.
The boys have been ranked 7th in state and are training hard to keep this up.
“We aren’t really paying attention to any of the rankings, we know what we are capable of and that is all that matters. When we play our game it is tough to lose,” Hare said.
Keep following up on these boys as they take on Round Lake High School, September 30.
