Almost everyone snacks in between meals throughout the day. Snacking does not always have to be unhealthy because there are many types of healthy snacks to choose from. When the right snacks are available to choose from, bad cravings become less and it leads to a healthier lifestyle.
Here are five different types of healthy snacks to choose from:
- Frozen Grapes A nice sweet snack that will help ease the sugar cravings throughout the day.
- Greek Yogurt If you are looking to add more protein to your diet, this is a good choice. Greek yogurt has twice the amount of protein than regular yogurt.
- Dark Chocolate This has been known to boost metabolism and to reduce the risk of heart disease.
- Kale Chips These chips contain 30% less starch in them than regular chips and are one of the world’s most nutrient dense foods.
- Mixed Nuts Nuts like cashews, almonds, peanuts, and almonds add more protein to your diet as well as contain healthy unsaturated fats. According to LiveStrong Foundation, healthy snacks are low to moderate snacks that provide nutrition. When wanting to snack healthy, ensure the snack is fresh and low in calories.
