Facebook Strangers?

Theodore Martinek, Tom Tom Staff

Do you know all of your friends on Facebook?

For some, the answer is yes, why would anyone send a friend request to someone he/she does’t know, they could be anyone in the world.

Even if you try not to accept a request to someone you don’t know, it will still happen. Facebook gives us the sensation that everyone you are friends with sees what is posted by yourself, and will like and share it. It makes you feel that everyone cares about what you have to say.

Senior Robert Kussman said, “It’s more of a status thing, the more friends you have, the better you are.”

When you send a request, you get one more friend and so do they. It will even pop up on his or her news feed that they have “friended” you, and in doing so more people will add you, creating a snowball effect for your friends list.

As human beings, the feeling of belonging one of the best feelings that can be felt, It brings comfort and happiness to everyone. Now that Facebook is bringing everyone closer together, you strive to be close to everyone, so that all 257 people on your friends list see what you have to say and look into what you want to show everyone. As that friend list grows, more people see what you say and what happened to you.

As Junior Ben Miklautsch said, “I added a ton of random people to make myself feel better”

In the end, it is your choice to decide who is on your friends list, but remember, they could be anyone.
