Engineering Pathways Provides Opportunities for CLC students

The College of Lake County and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign teamed up to provide an opportunity to high school students who are interested in engineering as their future career. What the schools plan to do is guarantee that qualified students who attend CLC for one year will have guaranteed admission into U of I for engineering.

High school students who plan to attend CLC for the first time next year are eligible to apply. A student can qualify by doing the following:

  • Must complete a specific list of equivalent courses at CLC.
  • Must maintain a 3.3 GPA in the courses recommended and a 3.2 cumulative GPA for all classes taken at CLC.
  • Students must enroll as a full time student (12 or more semester hours).
  • Student must complete the College of Lake County Associate in Engineering Science (AES) degree.

For anyone interested in this opportunity, click this link and download the application and information sheet today. The deadline to apply is February 28 by 5 p.m.
