Eminem Versus Machine Gun Kelly Feud
The Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly feud has finally settled down after many diss tracks were made over multiple weeks.
What happened over six years ago finally came up in one of Eminem’s comeback albums, “Kamikaze”. The track led to a lot of problems between him and other artists but the biggest problem that was brought up was about rapper Machine Gun Kelly and a comment made six years ago about Eminem’s daughter.
In an interview from Hip-Hop DX, Eminem said he hadn’t heard about what MGK had said until a good year later, which explains why this issue has just come up now. The two artists have gone back and forth on Twitter and Instagram and have even have made diss tracks against each other. “Not Alike” and “Lucky You” are two of the songs where Eminem dissed MGK. Also, a couple of years ago Eminem banned MGK from Shade 45, which was part of SiriusXM Radio 45, Eminem’s radio station that plays uncensored hip-hop by himself and Shady Records.
MGK posted on Twitter not long after he was banned from Shade 45 and talked about how he is his own favorite rapper now, since his favorite rapper banned him from Shade 45. The song “Not Alike” is where Eminem unloaded on MGK by talking about the music he makes and how he will never be as good as him. MGK didn’t take this diss lightly so he decided to make his own song called “Rap Devil” to have his chance to get back at Eminem for what he said about him.
Obviously, Eminem didn’t want to lose because a couple days later he came out with the song “Killshot”, which left MGK fairly quiet and saying that he would not continue to go back and forth with Eminem. This has left a lot of people wondering if MGK could not come up with anything else to throw at Eminem or if he truly wants to stop trying in this feud. Sophomore Ryan Komers shared his feelings on this subject.
“I feel like Eminem hasn’t really won the battle because I like MGK’s song just as much as Eminem’s song,” Komers said.
Vulture.com claimed that MGK even brought G-Eazy, another rapper, into the argument by targeting his girlfriend Halsey and using her in part of his song “Rap Devil”. Up to this point, the feud between Eminem and MGK has calmed down but the feud between G-Eazy and MGK is still at high tension and many people are still paying close attention to these rappers because they aren’t sure what will happen next.
