DIY: Harry Potter Non-Alcoholic Butterbeer
An easy recipe to create one of the most well-known fantasy drinks of all time.
Every fan of Harry Potter knows the iconic “butterbeer” drink. Unfortunately, getting their hands on it is one of the most difficult tasks anyone can undertake.
“I’ve only ever had it once in my life,” sophomore Allison Hoffelder said.
Instead of paying $8.95 for the bottled version, fans can create their own with five ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 1 liter cream soda
- 2-3 tbsp butter
- 2-3 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 4-5 Werther’s Originals
For the cream topping (optional):
- 200 g (7oz) marshmallow creme
- 1 c whipping cream
Instructions:
- Put cream soda into a pot and boil.
- Melt butter and sugar together until sugar has dissolved.
- Pour butter and sugar mixture into pot of boiling cream soda.
- Cream soda must be boiling or butter/sugar mixture will solidify.
- Add cream.
- Add Werther’s Originals and stir continuously until melted.
- Serve hot.
