Disney adds New Park: Star Wars
The magic is continuing to spread at both Disney parks.
Walt Disney World’s, Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida, and Disneyland’s Tomorrowland in Anaheim, California, is said to be “creating Disney’s largest single-themed land expansions ever at 14-acres each, transporting guests to a never-before-seen plane.”
This Star Wars theme expansion is planned to bring to life the fantasy galaxy of far, far away. Main attractions will allow guests to adventure into realistic battles between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. Park-goers will also be able to go on customized secret missions.
“The attractions, the entertainment, everything we create will be part of our storytelling,” Walt Disney CEO and Chairman Bob Iger said. “Nothing will be out of character or stray from the mythology.”
Both parks will incorporate events and characters from the original Star Wars saga and upcoming “Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens.” There has been no word on when opening day is, but people all over the map are excited for the ultimate Star Wars experience.
