On September 3, the Antioch girl’s cross country team attended the Rebel Invite at the University of Wisconsin Parkside. The girls competed against 21 other schools in, and outside of their conference. In a 4k race, Antioch came running out strong, pulling in at 9th place out of 22 teams.

“I would say our biggest competitor was Lakes, so we were cheering each other on from the sidelines but I think yesterday (September 3) as a team we became closer. ” sophomore Noor Abdellatiff said.

Along with the girls 9th place finish,  sophomore Natalie Hill placed 13th out of the 21 schools that came and participated at the meet.

“This season, I really want to beat my record from last year. It would be a great indication that I am continuing to improve as an athlete.” Hill said.

Being the first invitational of the season, the girls still have plenty of time to practice and improve before regionals.
