Girls Cross Country finishes strong getting a win in the last conference meet.
Cross country fought hard and finished strong with a win, even without their best runner, sophomore Natalie Hill. The girls were especially proud of their win, they were happy to finish off their season winning their last conference meet. The girls finished the season with a strong record of 4-3. Only losing to Grant High School, Grayslake and Lakes. All of which are teams ranked in Illinois.
“I am very proud of what the team has accomplished this year. We are all a very tight-knit group of girls and it is sad to see the season come to an end. Hopefully we will finish strong with the rest of the season,” senior Lauryn Hugener said.
The girls are entering their home stretch for conference meets, they have the Benet Invitational Meet this Saturday October 8, and are hoping to perform well.
