For senior Anna Arden, moving is an opportunity to see her life in a whole new way.

Moving is not easy at all. It means starting over in a new home, possibly a new state, environment and school. It means learning to make new friends, and saying goodbye to the old ones. The process can be very scary and nerve wrecking, especially if one is still in middle school or high school.
Moving can have both positive and negative outcomes. Some of the negatives are packing and unpacking everything up, new routines and trying to settle in to a foreign place. Some of the positives are being able to make new friends, learning to interact with new people and getting to explore a whole new environment.
Luckily, for Senior Anna Arden she was able to focus more on the positives for herself as well as her family.
“This may sound bad, but moving always seems to have barely any effect on me, my friends and family somehow,” Arden said. “We all keep in touch and it really seems like nothing is different because distance is not a problem whenever we move, it’s just an inconvenience. It’s definitely nice being able to make new friends easily and keeping those friends through years of moving schools, but sometimes I grow really attached to my home and it’s sad to think of leaving it. When I was younger I hated the thought of moving and never wanted to leave, but eventually I learned to see it as a sort of adventure.”
Moving is not always as scary as it may seem to be, and, like Arden said, it barely had any effect on her or her family.
