BRIEF: Field Hockey’s Stick It to Cancer Game

At Antioch Community High School, members of the athletic teams not only play the game they love, they also bring awareness to many important matters. Every year in October, Antioch’s field hockey team supports National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by taking on Lakes Community High School in the annual Stick It to Cancer game. This year, the game is scheduled for October 2 at 4:30 PM at Lakes. Both the Antioch and Lakes teams will wear pink t-shirts instead of their uniforms on the field. Unlike previous years, the t-shirts were available to everyone, not just field hockey players. The money made from the t-shirts was donated to support breast cancer.
