At this point, the soft lockdown at Antioch Community High School has been cleared.  After a report of a possible weapon was made, the Antioch Police Department immediately responded to our campus.  In conducting a thorough investigation, we believe the report was made regarding a squirt gun connected to a game called, “assassin.”  This game is not permitted on campus.  Any student in possession of a weapon or a ‘look-alike’ will be met with the full breadth of our consequences.

We greatly appreciate the cooperation of our students, staff, and local police department in responding to this sensitive report.  We are confident that our students are safe and we will continue to ensure that the safety of our building is our top priority.

Please know that we will have a police presence in the building and on our campus for the remainder of the day.  Additionally, we will continue the investigation in conjunction with the Antioch Police Department.
