This morning an inappropriate email that contained pornographic material was sent out to the Antioch Community High School student list serve. All ACHS students received this in their email inboxes.
Parents, teachers and students received an email from Principal Bradford Hubbard at 11:23 a.m. explaining the issue. In his email, Hubbard said, “it is with a lot of frustration and disappointment that I write to inform you that our school email system was used to send an extremely inappropriate video out to our student accounts today. Please know that this behavior does not reflect the “Respect, Responsibility, and Pride” that we practice and preach here at ACHS.”
The latest email happens to be the most inappropriate email in a string of emails coming across the student email list serve. Students currently have access to send mass emails to the general student body of ACHS, but this may be called into question after this most recent issue.
Hubbard concluded his email by reassuring parents, staff and students that the “incident is being taken very seriously and our administrative team is focused on making sure this does not occur in the future. The use of our network for this type of activity is a clear violation of our Acceptable Use Policy and we will hold offenders of that policy accountable”
