Aryan Haren, current assistant principal of curriculum and instruction at Antioch Community High School, will be packing up her office at the conclusion of the 2019-2020 school year. While Haren will still be in the district, she will no longer call ACHS her home.
At last night’s board meeting, the Community High School District 117 School Board voted to approve Haren to be the new Director of Human Resources/Assistant Business Manager for the district.
In an email last night to district faculty and staff, Jennifer Nolde, Assistant Superintendent of Business Operations/CSBO, made the announcement.
“I am very happy to announce that Aryan Haren will be joining the District Administration, as the Director of Human Resources/Assistant Business Manager, beginning July 1, 2020,” she wrote.
The posting of the position was originally sent at the end of the working school day on November 21. Nolde, again via email to the staff, announced the position as a necessity to the district.
“There are so many great things going on in our district and our needs are changing. You’ll see a job posting for a new Human Resources position within our district office. As we’ve grown, so have our HR needs and it’s time to put someone in place to handle those needs,” her email said.
The document denoted the Director of HR/Assistant CSBO was an internal posting. Haren, per the initial description, “is responsible for administering the personnel policies of the District on a day-to-day basis; focusing on the recruitment, selection, induction and training of highly qualified staff in licensed and educational support staff positions in order to assure all students a high quality education. In addition, the administrator must manage the associated budget; maintain all personnel records; and other duties as assigned by the Asst. Superintendent/CSBO.”
Haren’s position will function in a number of distinct areas per the posting: decision making and administrative leadership, personnel services, recruiting and staffing, personnel approval and appraisal, and on-boarding and recognition. Her contract will be 261 days.
