The varsity boys basketball team competed in the first round of regionals at Ridgewood High School on Wednesday, February 27. The boys started out with a lead of 17-16 at the end of the first quarter, but at the end of the half, they were down by one. The Sequoits leading scorers were seniors Daniel Filippone and Jack Gillespie. At the end of the third quarter, the boy’s defense was keeping up with the fast paced Rebels offense and they were able to get the lead back, winning 44-41. Although the boys played a strong game, they couldn’t pull out the win and lost to Ridgewood 54-56 to end their season.
