Bowling Towards Division Championship
Going up against some of their biggest rivals, girls bowling comes out as number one in the Prairie Division.
On Thursday, Jan. 22, Antioch Community High School’s varsity bowling team was named the Prairie Division Champions after a victory over Grant Community High School. The girls were just two points away from being undefeated in conference for the season.
Junior Captain Erin Koch said, “I believe that our team has done fantastic this season. We have improved immensely. We are extremely proud of ourselves and our accomplishments.”
The bowling team’s biggest competition includes Zion-Benton Township High School, Warren Township High School, and Stevenson High School and will pose a challenge during conference.
“We are staying positive and hoping to advance [in the post season],” said Koch.
Bowling plays next at Zion-Benton on Friday, Jan. 30. The time is to be announced.
