Big Brother: for better or for worse?
With season 19 reaching the final stretch, who will win?
On July 5 2000, CBS broadcasting company released a show titled ‘Big Brother’; little did the producers know it would run for 19 seasons and be one of the biggest reality game shows in America. House guests on the show compete for safety, put each other up for eviction, and try their best to win $500,000. This season had multiple twists including temptations granted by the audience’s vote. The biggest twist in the game so far was Paul Abrahamian; a house guest from season 18 who won second place. Paul has a strong advantage over a lot of the house guests due to the fact that the house guests look up to him- almost like a fan, so he is able to be safe in a lot of competitions because the house guests treat him like a celebrity. Senior Alexis Lukach shares how she feels about Paul being in the house.
“He had his chance last season so I’m kind of mad but he’s played a way better game this time around,” Lukach said.
With seven players left in the game that started with 17, it’s safe to say the game is at its final stretch. Some members that were eliminated get sent to the jury house. Members of the jury vote when there is only two players left; choosing who wins. House guest Alex Ow is one of the last seven in the game, and being a great competitor physically and mentally, has a good chance at being the winner of this years season.
“I think Alex is going to win because she’s a really good competitor and has a great social game,” Lukach said.
Social game means everything in “Big Brother”, especially towards the end. Having friends turn on you for their benefit is not uncommon in the “Big Brother” house, so staying off the radar is a necessity. Being nice to even the evicted members in the jury house can make or break your game. “Big Brother” season 19 is one of the craziest seasons yet and it will only get more hectic from here.
