Acoustic covers can frequently be more appealing than the original version of a song.

All throughout Youtube, thousands of song covers are uploaded each day. Music lovers are invited to listen to multiple genres of music and most find even the acoustic, calm renditions to be the best. There is something about a raw voice paired with the sound of an acoustic guitar that is simply beautiful.

Even songs that originally have strong beats and instrumental backgrounds are recreated to compliment the singer’s natural talent.

Fellow guitar player and senior at ACHS, Megan Resurreccion said, “I definitely prefer acoustic renditions of songs more than the original just because they all around sound better. I am also biased since I am a guitar player myself, but acoustic versions are better regardless.”

Over the years, acoustic covers are becoming increasingly more popular. With acoustic covers, a singer’s voice automatically becomes more pronounced and defined.

Artists sometimes will re-record their songs acoustically, but more often than not, Youtube cover artists add their own authentic twist to famous tunes instead.
