Baseball Begins a Season of Victory
The varsity baseball team emerged victorious in their first game of the season and are looking to continue the streak.
In the first conference game of the season, the Sequoits traveled to Round Lake Senior High School on Tuesday, April 2 where they came out with a 15-1 win against the Panthers.
Senior Austin Andrews pitched the first five innings and came close to a no hitter, and with the help from senior Carson Scott and the rest of the fielding contributions, only one run was allowed the whole game.
“It was a good first team win,” Andrews said. “Everyone’s ready to go and now that we have a win, we’re confident moving forward.”
With both a strong defense and forceful offensive, the boys were able to start off the 2019 season with a bang. They will continue their game series against Round Lake today, April 3, at home.
