Apple recently announced in a virtual event on Monday Oct, 30 that some major changes are coming to their MacBook Pro lineup. Two new versions of the MacBook Pro in 14 and 16-inch models will be available in mid to late November. The new models are expected to have increased battery life, efficiency, and overall general productivity.
According to The Verge, the biggest change to the MacBook Pro models is the new processing chips. The new models will have all-new M3 processing chips that are expected to be highly efficient and increase the speed of the computer. These chips are highly powerful and are expected to make a major difference in the computers overall performance. The chips are also available in three tiers M3 which is the standard chip, M3 pro which is a bit faster, and M3 max which is highly fast.
The new MacBook Pros will also feature a 4.5k retina display that will make images clever and crisper. According to Apple, the new display will make graphics in gaming much clearer and make images more realistic. The rendering speed is also expected to increase to 2.5 GPU which will make images and graphics look sharper.
Another major change according to Reuters, is that the battery life is expected to be much longer than previous MacBooks. The battery life is expected to be the longest battery life for any MacBook at about 22 hours for videos or 18 hours for other usage.
The new MacBook Pros will be available in mid to late November just in time for the holiday season. They will come in three colors: white, space black or silver. For the 14-inch, prices will start at $1,599 and the 16-inch will start at $2,499, payment plans are available on Apple’s website. Apple also offers a $200 discount on most electronics including the new MacBook Pros for educators and students who have received an acceptance letter into an accredited university.
