Antioch Field Hockey came out strong in the first half against Stevenson last night, September 27. Sequoits got one on the scoreboard first by a goal scored by sophomore Ashley Hradisky. Shortly after though the Patriots scored to tie the game up at the half.
The Sequoits played hard and were able to move the ball into their offensive end.
“The game went well today,” sophomore Callie Tubbs said. “We got the ball down the field and got a lot of corners.”
After the first half the sun went down and the temperature dropped but that did not affect the Sequoits attitudes and playing style.
“(It was) cold at first,” Tubbs said. “but it warmed after a while.”
Antioch showed strong offense and defense throughout the game but the shots couldn’t find the back of the cage, and the Patriots scored two goals to secure the win. Overall the Sequoits played a very good game against a very strong opponent and will not let the loss affect them.
