Antioch Boys Basketball Takes on Wauconda
The Sequoit basketball team battled the Bulldogs on January 26 and lost with a score of 66-55.

On Friday, January 26 the Antioch Community High School boys basketball team took on Wauconda High School. The Sequoits lost 66-55 to the Bulldogs after a hard fought four periods of intense back and forth action. Antioch started off strong in the first quarter with junior Jack Gillespie hitting a three to get the Sequoits on the board in a big way. However, it was not enough as the Bulldogs quickly pulled ahead. After three quarters the score was 45-36 and the Sequoits were trailing, but they kept their heads up and went back out on the court to play hard in the fourth quarter.
“We did not really play to the best of our potential,” junior Robert Christiansen said. “We are just looking forward to using the rest of this season to improve and get better.”
The Sequoit boys basketball team takes on the Grant Community High School Bulldogs on Tuesday, January 30 at 7:00 pm in their next game on Antioch’s home court.
