Boys Volleyball Falls to Mundelien
The Sequoits fail to tame the Mustangs this past Friday.
The boys volleyball team played an intense game against Mundelein High School this past Friday.
The first match concluded with the Sequoits winning in a close match of 25-19. However, the boys were unable to come back and win the next match, allowing the Mustangs to snatch the second match 25-14.
Senior Kristian Jimenez was able to have the most kills in the game for Antioch putting up five with 13 digs. Junior Nicholas Gagnon was right behind him on the leaderboard with 12 digs.
The third match was a close and fierce one with there being multiple volleys; the game truly came down to the wire.
“They were just a good team overall and we played our best,” junior Kyle Jilly said. “One thing we could have done is picked up the energy.”
The third match concluded with a final score of 25-19 Mundelein.
Overall, the boys showed great sportsmanship and displayed a hard work ethic. Currently, Antioch has a record of 8-13 and face off against the Grayslake Central Rams on Tuesday, May 8 at 6 p.m.
