A new hair trend is taking the Internet by storm: glow in the dark hair.

Glow in the dark hair started trending first on Tumblr and continued it’s way onto Instagram.

“I would definitely try this on my hair,” said senior Emily Schultz. “I think it is very unique and not many people would dare to do this.” 

It is very easy to get glow in the dark hair because most hair dyes are temporary and washable. The dyes are not reported to be dangerous or harmful in any way because of a simple florescent powder in the dye that causes the hair to glow. The powder allows the hair to only glow under UV lights and special lights.

“I think I would go get it done professionally because bleaching my hair is a bit scary and I would mess up,” said Schultz
