ACHS Celebrates Earth Day with School-Wide Fair
Last Friday, the annual ACHS Earth Day fair was held in the auxiliary gym. During lunch periods, students were able to find out new, fun ways to make a difference.
“I think this fair is just what we need to start going green in our society,” senior Tristan Eves said. “This fair is educational for everybody.”
As students filed in and out, there was one area of common interest amongst the crowd. Special guest Bubba the alligator made a celebrity animal appearance. Students were able to take pictures with the alligator, and if they were lucky enough, a few even got to even ride him.
“The alligator can help teach us how to live, and how we don’t need to live,” senior Jake Cole said. “And, you know what, that’s what the Earth Fair is all about.”
The fair is now all wrapped up, but using the green building techniques and environmental protection precautions displayed, the students of ACHS can help improve the environment and move towards making the earth more green.
