A Note from Superintendent McKay: School to Resume Jan. 9

Community High School District 117 Superintendent Jim McKay announced at 5:25 today that school will be in session tomorrow. Below are his comments:
“Despite the current stormy weather, the forecast is for clearing conditions and continued cold temperatures. Community High School District 117 plans to have school tomorrow Friday, January 9th. Should weather conditions change for the worse we will inform our families and staff as soon as possible. Parents and guardians, if you do not feel comfortable sending your student to school due to the weather, we would respect your decision.”

why are you sending people to school when it is going to be -34 degrees…. with wind chill… People who walk to school could receive frost bite within the first 10 minutes of being out side… Poor decision making on your parts…
