Obtaining perfection and beauty has become a goal for many men and women for centuries. The thought or standards of it has evolved time and time again, and people continue to attempt to achieve it. Skin care products have evolved from milk baths to light therapy.
A new technique is the Blu-U. It’s a non-emitting UV light treatment specifically for acne. The light penetrates the skin allowing it to kill bacteria lying underneath. Usage of Blu-U therapy has been proven to kill bacteria faster than other treatment methods. Because the treatment is a light, it leaves no pain or redness.
Chemical peels are also an upcoming skin care method. It is done by using multiple acid solutions to smooth and even the skin’s texture. The acid will painlessly remove the damaged top layer of skin and allow fresh skin to regenerate without imperfections.
Mud masks are a current trend, mainly because they are simple to do at home.
“I love doing the at-home mud mask from Lush,” said Freshman Mia Fogel. There are many selections of masks and different formulas. Each one has different ingredients in order to correct any skin problems that are occurring.
Skin care will continuously evolve because of society’s never ending pressure for perfection.
