10.2 inch iPad

Featuring Apple’s A13 Bionic chipset, the new 10.2 inch iPad is 20% faster than the previous model of the 10.2 inch iPad. Apple said that the device is 3 times faster than the best-selling Chromebook and six times faster than the best-selling Android tablet.

The rear-facing camera received an upgrade with a better autofocus system and the selfie camera is now a 12-megapixel Ultra Wide camera. This allows for the “Center Stage” feature which is present in the FaceTime application, wherein the subject is followed and kept in-frame throughout movement.

The display now features True Tone, which allows the display to adjust its color temperature to better suit the user’s surroundings.

The design of the new iPad remains unchanged from the previous generation and it still has support for the first-generation Apple Pencil.

The device holds a starting price of $329 with 64 gigabytes of base storage, an improvement over the previous 32. It is available in both space gray and silver and preorders begin Sept. 14. The device will be available Sept. 24.
